Some of the same neoconservatives who pushed for the war in Iraq are now pushing for war with Iran. “You’ve got to go to war with the president you have,” said William Kristol, a Never Trumper and editor at large of The Bulwark who was a prominent advocate of war with Iraq. “If you really think that Iran can’t have nuclear weapons, we have a chance to try to finish the job.”
Maybe Kristol thinks it's funny to deliberately echo Donald Rumsfeld from 21 years ago --
You go to war with the army you have, not the army you might want or wish to have at a later time.
-- when he shrugged off the troops' concerns that the criminal incompetence of the Bush administration meant that they had been sent into battle with the wrong equipment and were now having to garbage-pick discarded ballistic glass to up-armor their vehicles.
Because maybe Kristol really is the sociopath we always thought he was.
And if your argument for not only letting him into our tent, but standing down as he and other Never Trumpers colonized what little was left of the "Liberal" media and elbowing actual Liberals out of the public discourse goes something like this --
“You’ve got to go to political war with the sociopaths you have,”
-- then please show yourself to the exit.

SIDESHOW BOB has entered the yard full of rakes. I saw a video yesterday wherein the deposed Shah's son, Skip (?) Pahlavi seems to be pitching himself as Ahmed Chalabi 2.0. First as tragedy, then as farce.
Kinda like Reagan-era "selling missiles to Iran" Oliver North giving "no Iran missiles ever" advice to the Trump-era Oliver North.
This one really hit hard
My oldest received the Selective Service paperwork from the government two days ago indicating that he needs to register or face a federal felony. Interestingly, he tried to join the military last year but decided against it because he is trans and the recruiter was being flaky. On page two of the paperwork, there's an option to say he was assigned female at birth. I can't help but wonder what trump administration list he will be on after he divulges this information. I imagine this administration would send my son to the front line out of spite for being what my mother calls "an abomination." If it would mean my kids didn't have to serve, I would join again. I left the military in 2011 after 8 years of service.
At some point, one can hope, it will not be possible for those who have been demonstrably, horribly, expensively WRONG about everything they've ardently supported, to have prime media space to spew their continued wrongness about everything... We would all be better off not having to get past the usual gauntlet of boobs, charlatans and pissants lined up for their ego trips.
